"I am a 60 year old disabled male...when I was much younger I trained in tae kwon do but realized one day that in a real situation, unless you have studied for years, all of those fancy moves and kicks aren't realistic in a street attack. It would be hard to remember what technique to use against this kind of attack or that kind of attack.
Recently, my daughter and I watched the Attack Proof Companion DVD Part 1. This has to be seen to be believed! Just like the book it is packed full of realistic information that could save the life of a loved one or yourself if attacked. Every chapter on the DVDs is gold. There are no fancy unrealistic moves to learn and the way the instructors teach is fantastic.
They don't come off as super macho types that show you things that only they would be able to do. They are down to earth guys who actually want to help you protect yourself if attacked in a realistic way that anyone can do. I'd like to stress that point. With all of my medical problems even I can use the principles they teach if I were to be attacked. This is VERY important to me because I'm not able to run away from an attack. Using the Guided Chaos principles are very beneficial for someone like me.
I can't say enough about the DVDs and the instructors. The instructors talk to you in a calm, assured manner. They don't try to intimidate you or show off. There is no "look what I can do!" approach at all from any of the instructors. Watching the DVD you get the feeling that they actually CARE about your safety. I think that's what impressed me the most.
My old karate instructor loved to show you what HE could do knowing all the while it would take years of training to achieve that kind of perfection. The attack proof instructors are the opposite. They show you what YOU can do with their training. If you have an doubts about Guided Chaos I strongly suggest you give it a try. The attack proof book is excellent but the DVDs and being able to watch and listen to the instructors is a whole different experience. I am so glad I found the attack proof site and I"m sure you will be too. You never know when you are going to be faced with an attacker. With the knowledge available in the book and DVDs it just might save your life or the life of a loved one and you can't put a price on that."
